EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY AND REHABILITATION

Professional exercise prescription and lifestyle education for the management of chronic health conditions such as osteoarthritis, diabetes, musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, stroke or mental health conditions. Exercise interventions can also assist with rehabilitation, injury prevention, disability management, workplace health and manual handling.


STRENGTH & CONDITIONING 

Strength coaching for individuals and groups targeting athletic development through improvements in strength, power, mobility, aerobic conditioning, flexibility, agility and functional movement patterns. A periodised strength program can be designed to meet individual or team performance goals and will involve regular technique analysis, performance testing, program review and progressions as appropriate. Suitable for athletes of all ages from juniors, weekend warriors through to elite and professional athletes.

STRENGTH TRAINING FOR ENDURANCE ATHLETES

Specific exercise prescription and strength coaching to improve endurance performance for athletes involved in triathlon, cycling, running or surf sports. The importance of a periodised strength training program is paramount to improve strength, power, speed, mobility and develop resilience and prevent fatigue in training and competition. Appropriate exercise design can correct muscular and postural imbalances and weaknesses brought about by the nature of repetitive endurance training.


HYDROTHERAPY TREADMILL

Exclusive use of the HydroTread aquatic treadmill utilising the natural properties of water for buoyancy and de-loading the joints but with the ability to adjust resistance and temperature. Although aquatic exercise is practiced extensively to improve fitness levels and rehabilitation from injury, HydroTread provides a compact and efficient way to achieve positive results in a private environment. Perfect for a low impact return from injury, musculoskeletal limitations, pre or post joint replacement surgery, functional improvements for disability care or a low impact conditioning protocol.

triathlon coaching and programming

Individualised custom and semi-custom program design for triathletes and multi-sport athletes of all levels and distances from sprint up to Ironman. A periodised program can help athletes improve in all 3 disciplines and assist in reaching performance goals. Specific programming will develop aerobic capacity, improve muscular endurance, develop strength and power and promote efficiency of movement through correct techniques. FTP testing available for athletes training with power or heart rate to determine specific training zones. Additional education can be provided around effective recovery techniques, nutrition, mobility and injury prevention. SPORTS SPECIFIC TRAINING

Exercise programming and design to improve performance in various sports through functional movement analysis and prescription of specific exercises to improve all aspects of fitness such as strength, hypertrophy, power, speed, agility to prevent injury and promote optimal performance.

HEALTH AND FITNESS ASSESSMENTS

Evidence based assessment and testing to identify strengths, weaknesses and functional limitations that can guide program design to enhance movement capacity and improve musculoskeletal function. Suitable for individuals or groups such as sports teams or corporate groups.


HYDROTHERAPY

Low impact aquatic exercise in a heated pool to assist in chronic disease management, injury prevention and rehabilitation from surgery or injury. A great form of exercise for people suffering from pain and stiffness related to osteoarthritis or other musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain. A range of gentle exercises can lead to greater mobility, promote muscle relaxation and increase feelings of well-being.
